Here's the catch (yep, there's always a catch)
Lower stats don't always make you the monthly winner in this group. The group commissioner may decide to declare the highest round score the winner for any month. Or, the worst fairway percentage as the winner for any month. However, we may also announce the winner of the month for anyone with two eagles or exactly 7 birdies in two rounds. You get the idea!
Remember, play honest, post your scores honestly and you may be a big winner!

Members of Go Golf San Diego’s staff will be participating in the upcoming 101.5 KGB Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw – DSC Open 2008 golf tournament. The DSC Open 2008 golf tournament will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at Maderas Golf Club, one of San Diego’s finest golf courses. The Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw is sure to please with girls on trampolines, rock n’ roll music, and even kegs on the golf course. As they say, “this ain’t your plain ol golf tourney!” This golf tournament is done KGB style. Participation in the golf tournament includes a round of golf (with cart) at Maderas Golf Club and a DSC goodie bag with a shirt, windbreaker, golf balls, and much more. Drinks on the course with a fully catered lunch and dinner. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the DSC Fund that helps San Diegans in need. Unfortunately for you, THE DSC OPEN 2008 GOLF TOURNAMENT IS SOLD OUT! It only took a few minutes for the 2008 DSC Open to sell out at Valley View Casino. Better luck next year. SAN DIEGO GOLF NEWS - With his victory this past Sunday at the Buick Invitational hosted at Torrey Pines, Tiger Woods joined some elite company, even though at times it felt like he was putting on a self endorsed clinic with the other golfers playing a supporting role.
Tiger Woods is now in the elite golf company as he is tied with Arnold Palmer for fourth on the PGA Tour list with 62 career wins.
It wasn't a typical "Tiger Finish" as he bogeyed a three holes in a row down the stretch of the back nine. But, Tiger did provide some genuine golf shots with an improbable flop shot from behind the ninth green to save par. Also, Tiger drilled a 60-foot birdie putt that started in one direction and slid into the cup from the other.
The outcome was never in doubt at the Buick Invitational, only the final score. Tiger did provide the USGA with some strategies to toughen up the course for the upcoming 2008 US Open golf tournament at Torrey Pines in June.
Go Golf San Diego is positive that the USGA will try to "Tiger Proof" Torrey Pines this June. The problem is, what happens to the rest of the field...
